I'm not an ambi-turner

Tonight we went to the local park and did turning drills where I practiced indicating.

It's a lot easier to indicate sitting upright, than being on the hoods.
(Hoods are those funny bits at the top of road bike handlebars)

I've discovered that I must use my right hand more for control when I'm on the hoods, as I could barely move my right hand without losing control of the handlebars.

Oh well, at least I can indicate left effectively, so I can always pull over and cross the road on foot.  :)

While we were practicing the first part of my route to work, I was thinking it might be best to leave at 7:30am as I think majority of road users leave at 8am.  That might make things easier by avoiding the peak of the morning traffic.  Hopefully I will be at work around 8am if not sooner.

I did get sweaty tonight despite not riding very fast, so I suspect I should bring a change of clothes to work and showering stuff.  I think I will start riding with a backpack as I have one and I can do it.

So at the moment - right this minute - I am planning to ride to work tomorrow.

One would wonder why I am accelerating my bike commuting program when I may not sound like I'm ready for it....

The main reason is that parking at work is quite scarce at the moment (and for the next few weeks), so this would be a great way to get to work since I was already planning to increase my hours on the bike (and one day commute to work).
