It's ok - I slightly I underestimated what it would take to go from cycling 2.5 hours a week to exercising half an hour twice a day.
However, I'm pretty glad I was at least doing the 2.5 hours twice a week (including pushing myself pretty hard) because it means I have the capacity to FEEL THE BURN when I need to get across traffic lights.

What I know now about long pants
It is unnecessary to cycle in long pants.
The only reason is if you can't be bothered bringing a change of pants.
There is no feeling cold on a bike.
Just sweaty, but you only notice when you stop and the sweat starts dripping.. everywhere.
Getting along with other cycling colleagues
After work..
I unlock my bike.
I unlock my bike.
Colleague: <walks out and grabs their bike> "Oh hey."
Me: "YOU MUST RIDE AWAY WITHOUT ME, I AM TOO EMBARRASSED TO RIDE WITH ANYONE AT THE MOMENT."
Colleague: "uh.. ok.."
